A lovely market and town square. Lots of stalls selling everything from vegetables, olives, hats, seafood, antiques and many more. Have been going here for almost 20 years, still look forward to going and just browsing and buying bits and pieces. Saffron Walden is a beautiful Essex town.

It wasn't a market day, only Tuesdays and Saturdays. We even enjoyed the visit to the village and took lots of pictures of the beautiful facades. There is so much history through the walls and houses that if you can stop and close your eyes, you can listen to the old tales.

Had a great time. Easy parking and a nice walk to the shops. Great place to buy gifts. Loads of individually run shops. Saturday morning was buzzing! All of the coffee shops and small eateries were packed. We thoroughly enjoyed the market. Such wonderful stalls. We bought lots of cheese. We came home with lots of Christmas gifts. I can thoroughly recommend going!

Loved the artisan stalls and lovely smells (unlike most markets) lovely and calm even though busy. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Had a great day.

Surprise find for us. Went to Audley End house and went into Saffron Walden to see St. Mary's church and just stumbled upon the market and the lovely town. Loads of fresh produce, fish and baked goods. We walked around the village for a bit, marveling at the old 13th century architecture. We will definitely be back for a visit.

This is a lively buzzing town, and on Saturday the market in very good good range of stalls and products from wet fish stalls, vegetables, flowers, clothes & leather goods. All amongst the other various shops are all doing good trade. Well, it's worth a visit.

I always loved Saffron Walden market. What a beautiful place, love the fresh fish counter, bread and savoury, fruit and vegetables. I have even noticed a dry vegetal/ fruits stall. Highly recommended by me.
